Blue Mountains of Jamaica

 One of my many Dreamvacati was to climb the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. Blue Mountain Tours asked the question, "Is it Jamaica's best-kept secret?" Maybe. The mountains peaked at 7,402 feet, and the scene is to die for! The mountains extend into four parishes St. Andrew (Kingston area), Portland and St. Mary (near Ocho Rios) and St. Thomas. The Blue Mountains is best known for growing the best coffee in the world! Well, that's my opinion. The area comes alive with locals whose income comes from farming. 

So why hike to the Blue Mountains? Here are all the "simple" reasons:

1. Fresh air- breathe

2. See Jamaica up high

3. Hiking is the best way to stay in the present moment.

4. Live outside of your comfort zone!

5. Live a little, laugh a little! You are in "Jamaica Mon"!
